CoinZoom Secures European VASP License, Paving the Way for EU Crypto Debit Card Expansion

CoinZoom, a U.S.-based fintech platform, has obtained a VIRTUAL Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in Latvia, authorizing it to operate across the European Union under MiCA-aligned regulations. The company is now pursuing a full Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license to further solidify its compliance framework.

The license enables CoinZoom to roll out its Visa debit card in the EU, allowing users to spend crypto and USD at over 130 million merchants globally. The card offers up to 5% crypto rewards on transactions, driving adoption—nearly 50% of users already spend crypto on everyday purchases, from groceries to travel.

Since its November 2024 international launch, the card program has grown 127%, with users in 48 countries earning an average of $50 monthly in crypto rewards. The trend underscores growing demand for real-world crypto payments.
